この本はマーク・ナグツァームと澤田育久によるコラボレーション展”OTHERS”の記録集として、アートブックレーベルori.studioから出版されました。
あえて綴じる事なく折った紙の束として提示されるこの本は、展覧会で試みたコミュニケーションを互いのメールによるやり取りや、インスタレーションの試行写真、スケッチなどの資料によって構成されます。二人の作家が各々の作品の志向の共通性と差異を一つの空間でどのように発展させてゆくかの試みを、展示の過程を追うことで紙面上に再現しています。
”他者 “の介入によって変化してゆく作品をori.studioの視点から記録することで、書籍自体もまた”他者”として作品の一部となっています。
This book is a record of the collaborative exhibition "OTHERS" by Mark Nagtzahm and Ikuhisa Sawada, published by the art book label ori.studio.
The book, presented as a bundle of folded papers without binding, is composed of the communication attempted at the exhibition, including e-mail correspondence between the two artists, photographs of trial installations, sketches, and other materials. By following the exhibition process, the two artists' attempts to develop the commonalities and differences in the orientation of their respective works in a single space are reproduced on paper.
By documenting the works as they change through the intervention of the "other," from the perspective of ori.studio, the book also becomes a part of the work as the “other.
